About this product
CALNICUM is the preferred inorganic nitrogen source where soil acidification is undesirable and where calcium and nitrogen have to be supplied at the same time. Most nitrogen fertilisers acidify the root zone as they are taken up; calcium nitrate does not, which matters on soils already under pressure from irrigation water quality.
It also has a clear advantage in foliar use, because it supplies calcium in a genuinely soluble form. Applications have shown a marked effect on fruit width, length, shape and the width of the ostiole opening.
The granular form handles, stores and spreads without dust or caking, and still dissolves completely into a fertigation line.
